How to automatically log in to Ubuntu – terminal

Open /etc/gdm2/custom.conf

sudo nano /etc/gdm3/custom.conf

Then, uncomment the two directives below and save


  AutomaticLoginEnable = true
  AutomaticLogin = YOURUSERHERE

You can now reboot, the user should automatically log in.
