How to find server errors (5xx) on your website using SiteCozy site checker

2018-08-07

First of all, after subscribing, go to app.sitecozy.com and login using your email address and password that you used during the registration process.

Then, there are two modes to find server errors on your website. Either you enter a URL in the first form so that the site scanner will discover internal links, scan them and return a server error if it finds one or enter a list of URLs  in the second form. In this case, the site scanner will only scan the provided list of URLs.

As you can see below, the sitecozy site scanner found a 500 internal server error on two web pages.

Then, you can select the URL of the error page and copy it using CTRL+C, then, click on the hostpage URL and it will open a new tab in the browser. Then, right click, click on show page source, press CTRL+F and CTRL+V, it will help to locate the server error.

List of HTTP server errors codes:

  • 500 internal server error
  • 502 bad gateway
  • 503 service unavailable
  • 504 Gateway timeout
