Knowhere pro is a wordpress theme that uses a WPbakery as a page builder. We noticed 2 good category ads homepages. there is a special weapon in Knowhere that’s the “detail” layout of the Knowhere category ad block. As you can see below, there are the category titles and also the subcategories in a well-organized 4 column layout. This seems to be obvious but we didn’t find any other classified themes with such a layout. For sure, this layout is fully responsive.
So at first sight it looks good, then we discovered that the classified ad module that manage those ads was WP job manager, a job board module for wordpress. It looks like the classiADs theme also uses this module. The documentation of this theme didn’t explain how the module worked and it was very difficult to customize the theme.
We imported the classified ad theme demo into WordPress. We quickly understood that it required a lot of customization (PHP and CSS) before being ready. We quickly gave up when we found this page
Let me explain, the web developer used a job board plugin to manage the classified ads of the Knowhere theme. This job board plugin is named Wp Job manager. Consequently, if you are looking for modifying the form of the classified ad submission page you must find “job submission” in the documentation above. Then, we discovered we would need a webhook or a 3rd party plugin to modify the said “add listing” form.
For sure, that wasn’t the only issue. We found a bug with the price range. We found that when we lowered the high threshold, the pricey products didn’t vanish from the category page. (see screenshot below)
However, Knowhere pro is far from being the worst classifieds ad theme on ThemeForest. Knowhere has lots of good features too. It is just complicated to set up and it requires good PHP skills to build a ready to use classified ad site with Knowhere Pro.
